We are so grateful for the enduring support of Maine Beer Company in Freeport. From 4 to 8 pm on the third Wednesday of the month, they generously donate 20% of all food sales to a nonprofit organization. For the past few years, they have hosted Community Night for Freeport Community Services in January. This year, as we continue to deal with effects of the pandemic and we welcome the arrival of New Mainers in our community, Maine Beer Company offered to host 3 months of community nights in a row to benefit FCS.
“The best part of Community Night at Maine Beer for me are those chance encounters—running into a friend you haven’t seen for a while or bumping into a neighbor,” says Christine Lyons, FCS’s Communications Manager. “There’s so much value in those expected moments of connection, especially these days!”
