Local students are a key part of our efforts to distribute food to those in need in our community. Without them, we wouldn’t have as much food to distribute, and the work would be that much greater. The youthful enthusiasm and support makes all the difference!
Boy Scouts’ Scouting for Food
Every year, the local Boy Scout troop runs a food drive and delivers, tabulates, checks and sorts the food, which will then get distributed to our neighbors.
Morse Street School
Morse Street School also holds an annual food drive to benefit the community through our efforts at Freeport Community Services. The kids gather food, and for each item, create a link in a chain, which this year stretched around the school gym!
