FCS Welcomes New Manager of Programs

Please join us in welcoming Michael Tausek, FCS’ new Manager of Programs. Michael’s shared passion for community service and connecting individuals to programs and services that address individual and family needs prompted him to transition to FCS from the senior care community. He was struck by the mission and warmth of the agency.

Since relocating back to Maine in 2020 from New York City where he served in city government, Michael continued his commitment to serving those in need. Prior to 2020, and for well over a decade, Michael served the State of Maine and Volunteers of America by implementing programs and services dedicated to assisting justice-involved individuals. Michael earned his B.A. degree in Criminology from the University of Southern Maine and his Juris Doctor from Western New England College. He also served 6 1/2 years in the U.S. Coast Guard in Woods Hole, MA and South Portland, ME. His son Nicholas is a student at the University of Pittsburgh and his daughter Amelia is a student at Suffolk University. In his personal life, Michael enjoys ice hockey and being in the outdoors.
