Welcoming Christine Force to FCS

We are so thrilled to welcome Christine Force to Freeport Community Services as our new Development and Events Manager. She has already jumped right into planning for FCS’s Community Day and future events. Stay tuned!

Christine has experience in community relations, philanthropy and donor engagement, corporate and foundation relations, event planning, and more than 20 years of commitment to advancing Maine’s non-profit community.

As Community Relations Manager at Hannaford Supermarkets, she developed the Hannaford Helps Schools program and helped raise over a million dollars for local non-profits.

Christine’s community work has included Vice President of Fund Development at Good Shepherd Food Bank where she managed the development and marketing strategy and helped launch the Mainers Feeding Mainers farm program. Force has helped raise more than 15 million for the non-profit sector.

She is currently a member of the Portland Rotary, The Royal River Conservation Trust and Co-Chair of the Royal River Alliance Christine’s past board service includes the Maine Association of Non-Profits, Maine Commission for Community Service, Portland Salvation Army Advisory Board, and the Center for Grieving Children.

Force attended the University of Maine where she graduated with a B.A. degree in English and a minor in philosophy. Christine has two children and four grandchildren. She and her partner Tom live in Yarmouth with their dog, Cara.
