08 Feb White Nights 2021 not possible this year
We are sad to confirm what many of you may have suspected. There will be no White Nights Celebration this year.
White Nights is our single biggest and most important fund raiser each year. It supports all of our programs from the Food Pantry to camp scholarships to our fuel fund.
It is also a time when we gather together as a community to celebrate this great tradition of Neighbor Helping Neighbor. It’s a simple, powerful idea that took shape back in 1974 and continues to this day.
There are many ways you can help us keep the spirit of White Nights alive this year.
- Check in on an elderly neighbor who may be struggling with social isolation.
- Reach out to a family who might feel overwhelmed as they balance remote schooling and working from home.
- Share a word of support to our schools and teachers who have worked tirelessly to keep our kids engaged and learning, healthy and fed.
- Make a point to say thank you to grocery store workers who have kept our stores open safely.
- Thank your mail carriers and delivery drivers who keep soldiering on during this time of crisis.
- Continue to support the causes and organizations that you care about–and those that care for your community.
We look forward to a time when we can gather safely together again. Until then, we will continue at least one of our White Night traditions, the signature cocktail. Please enjoy this recipe and stay safe out there!
